Croatian Tales of Long Ago - Vada

The song of the goldfinch is very melodic and resonates far and wide. If you hear it during a winter night, run! For this means that Vada, the embodiment of every trouble that nature can bring to a human, is hunting her supper. But if you hear the quiet ringing of bells, know that it is already too late to escape.

Another one in the Croatian mythology and folklore series. Not much is known about Vada except that she likes plucking meat off of her victims during long winter nights.
